Maxim Stier and Luz Fischer hired as Senior Asset Managers for the multi-family office

The multi-family office DERECO increases its capacities in Asset Management as Maxim Stier (35) and Luz Fischer (39) join the company, both assuming the position of Senior Asset Managers to support the administration and to assist in extending the investment portfolio managed by the Cologne-based company amounting to EUR 1.1bn. Previously, Maxim Stier had been working for the Barton Group, a nationally operating real estate investment firm specialised in institutional investors. Likewise, Luz Fischer is joining DERECO from the Barton Group’s asset management department.

Tassu Degen, DERECO’s Managing Director, says: “As an independent multi-family office, we have been pursuing a ‘real-estate only’ single-asset strategy for as many as thirty years during which we have acquired experience and know-how in this field. Particularly in the current situation of insecurity, real estate is an asset class receiving special attention from wealthy individuals and single-family offices. As we are recruiting additional personnel for our asset management department, we are extending our core business to match the higher demand for real estate investments.”

Maxim Stier, Senior Asset Manager, says: “DERECO’s real estate portfolio comprises high-quality project developments and properties on stock in the best spots in Germany. I’m looking forward to assist DERECO’s asset management in my new capacity and support the company to extend its portfolio in a well-structured way.”

Luz Fischer, Senior Asset Manager, says: “DERECO is a renowned investment and asset management company serving wealthy clients and single-family offices with growth dynamics which entail exciting challenges. I am pleased to be part of a professional, committed and friendly team so I’ll be able to contribute to further company growth.”

Maxim Stier holds a degree in real estate management from EBZ Business School in Bochum where he was also trained to obtain a qualification from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK, geprüfter Immobilienfachwirt). Afterwards, he worked as a real estate expert for BauGrund Immobilien-Management GmbH. Luz Fischer has a B.Sc. in geography, urban development and public law from the University of Bonn. Like Maxim, Luz used to be employed by BauGrund Immobilien-Management GmbH as a property manager, including residential properties. Maxim Stier joined DERECO on 1 February; joining slightly earlier, Luz Fischer has been part of the DERECO team since 1 January, 2023.
