DERECO sells residential project for senior citizens in Velbert Langenberg

Back to overview

DERECO Cologne has sold a residential new building project for senior citizens with
approx. 50 apartments spread over two units to a private investor from Wesel. The seller of this development project was Hansa Exklusiv Wohn- und Gewerbebau GmbH & Co. KG, Korschenbroich. After completion in 2011, the entire residential complex, which is being built to meet the needs of elderly people, will be let for 25 years to Carpe Diem - Gesellschaft für den Betrieb von Sozialeinrichtungen mbH, Wermelskirchen, which will, therefore, be expanding their care facility that already exists on the same site and which has been in operation since August 2009. The care centre, including the hotel, was also let on a long-term lease to Carpe Diem and already sold in 2007 by DERECO Cologne for around ten million euros to a private Dutch investor as a new building project. The total volume of the residential complex will be around 7 million euros; it will remain in the investor’s own stock. DERECO plans further project sales in 2010 in the sector of residential properties and care facilities for the elderly.
